The weather was a problem. Intermittent rain and hail showers did not help. Periods of sunshine helped for photography but many images were spoilt by raindrops on the lens. An idea of how cold, windy and unpleasant it was can be gained by looking at the members of the public viewing the events. The access to the parking field was restricted to members of the public with 4x4 vehicles. Competitors that needed access were given a tow by tractor. Despite being in the Secretary's tent, the presentation cups kept filling with rainwater. The rain just about stayed off for the presentation but then the heavens opened with a torrential hail shower. The images of the YFC Tug of War Competition shows the teams trying to get a grip in the sodden conditions.

Was it all worth it? Yes, despite the weather and reduced numbers, I felt the Show overall was a great success and I congratulate all those involved in putting it together.
