I had a lot of trouble getting a successful photo of a buttercup close up last year. It seemed that my camera was not capable of focussing on the shiney yellow surface of the buttercup. I am not sure why this one worked, but I am overjoyed. I love buttercups!

Last year the bird's-foot trefoil was apparently a single plant at ground level, so we were surprised to find this year that the bird's-foot trefoil was growing quite tall amongst the rose-bay willowherb stems.
