We have Jackdaws roosting in some tall trees near our house. This year they seem to have been very active. After the young ones have fledged, they are taken to a training school on our grass, where they learn to fly, find food and fly off if someone approaches. This youngster did not get the message and stayed around long enough for me to photograph it.
